Bussi Bear
The teddy bear happens to be an affectionate friend to every person who treats it as a friend, a confidante, and a fervent listener. Though it comes in different designs and colours, each still catches every person’s affection. Among the more well-known bears is Bussi Bear.
Bussi Bear is a very popular teddy bear in Germany. It is also the name of a famous magazine for children that was published from 1966 to 1999. Bussi Bear is the famous bear character in this magazine. The monthly magazine featured different kinds of stories, songs, and other learning activities for children. These activities involved demonstrative histories, Bastelbogen, colouring pictures, labyrinths, rhymes, fascinating arithmetic games, nutritional cooking ideas, animal and nature information, games, crafts ideas, the ABCs, and vocabulary enrichment. Other fun and exciting games accompanying the brilliant and fun stories for children were also included.
The Bussi-Bar magazine, as it is called in German, was intended to encourage children to learn while playing. It promoted activities that were dedicated to children’s interests. The magazine also enabled children to paint, do handicrafts, play and start their journey of discovering with their first numbers and letters. Bussi Bear was just a plain bear, often compared to the Care Bears—the bears who had different symbols on their tummies describing their personalities.
Moreover, the miniLUK Bussi Bear series is a German workbook for children aged four to eight. The Bussi Bear & Bello – What Belongs Together workbook puts emphasis on exercises to promote children’s intellectual growth, specifically in the area of logical thinking. On the other hand, Bussi Bear & Bello Travel around the World workbook introduces children to different places in the world.
